The cities of the northern coast have it all

Dronningmølle Strand is surrounded by the villages Dronningmølle, Hornbæk, and Gilleleje, with only a 35 minute train ride to Copenhagen. We take pride in calling ourselves the best situated campsite in North Zealand.

By car you will reach Elsinore by ferry, and Kronborg castle is only 15 minutes away. Hillerød City Center with Slotsarkaderne Shopping Center and Frederiksborg Castle are also just 15 minutes away. Alternatively, both the attractions of Copenhagen and Helsingør’s neat pedestrian zones are within your reach.

Just outside of the campsite there’s a child-friendly beach and a breathtaking coastal path where you can enjoy being surrounded by nature. This path leads you directly to Hornbæk, the welcoming village of fashion designer and business woman Ilse Jacobsen.

Go explore route 47 by bicycle, crossing over Nakkehoved Lighthouse, continuing to Gilleleje’s working harbor, fish market, and city center. Jogging routes, mountain bike rides, country road bicycle rides, lake fishing, golf lanes, skater park, restaurants, cozy little city shops, indoor swimming pools, and wellness & massages – find all of this within 15 minutes of Dronningmølle Strand.
